Currently, in the state of Texas, you need to be at least 18 years of age to purchase a rifle/shotgun and at least 21 years of age to purchase a handgun. 

Although it is legal to genuinely gift a firearm to someone, there are some legal reasons why it is not advised. In accordance with state and federal laws, it is illegal to purchase a firearm for a person that is not qualified to receive a firearm. This includes convicted felons, person convicted of a domestic abuse crime, part of a protective order or subject to a federal disqualification. 

We will offer gift certificates for this occasion that can be redeemed by the recipient. 

Due to the risk of straw purchases, we do offer gift certificates for firearms or amounts. This will allow the receiver to legally attain the firearm that was gifted or have the option to purchase the firearm of their choice as long as they can legally own one. IET gift certificates can also be use on any merchandise and training IET offers. Excess funds can be used towards the next purchase as long as it is within the date of expiration. Please speak to a representative for more information.

Yes we do. A 20 dollar fee is added to the transfer and purchaser will need to complete purchase in store. See SERVICES on our website for more information.

TX residents:

We conduct background checks for all firearm purchasers. Purchasers must pass the background check to ensure compliance with federal law.

Non-Residents:

Must conduct FFL transfer.

Texas driver’s license or identification card, military id. Temporary or expired forms of identification will not be accepted. All information must be updated with the correct address.

We offer 60 day layaways on firearms. We require 20 percent of the total purchase to start layaway. We will charge a 10 percent restocking fee if the layaway is cancelled.

If you are not a US citizen but hold a valid permanent resident card/green card, you can purchase a firearm as long as you pass the background check.

Firearms and ammunition

Iron Edge Tactical does not accept returns on firearms and ammunition due to the chance of tampering or unknown damage. This is for the safety of our customers and personnel. We can assist in processing warranty and recalls on firearms and products, but owner of firearm, or manufacturer, will take responsibility for all damages.

FFL transfers are “at your own risk” and the purchaser and seller will take responsibility between them. Proper processing will be performed in an FFL transfer so the buyer will need to be able to attain a firearm before they can leave the store with it.

Ammunition is not returnable and nonrefundable. We encourage customers to know that the product they are purchasing is the correct product. Due to the volatility of ammunition, any tampering or mishandling may endanger personnel. If there is a discrepancy, retain receipt and original packaging and report to manufacturer with lot number and any information recommended from manufacturer. 

Merchandise

 If you are not satisfied with product, return within 14 days of the receipt of the product. If the item is returned unopened in the original box, we will exchange it for a store credit or for a refund (less 10% restocking fee) based on payment method. The product must be returned within 14 days of the issuance of transaction receipt. All products must be returned in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, documentation and registration that shipped with the product. A 15% open box fee in addition to the 10% restocking fee (totaling 25%) will be assessed on any sealed product that is opened or removed from its original packaging.
